If a palatal expander is partially detached but still in the mouth, stop turning the key.<\/span><\/p><h4>Completely detached appliance<\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep the device in a safe place and do not try to put it back in your mouth. possible.<\/span><\/p><h4>A wire that is too long and pokes your mouth<\/h4><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try to bend the wire back towards the tooth so that it no longer hurts<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try to cut the wire (the protruding part) with nail clippers or small pliers (cuticle or nail clippers available at a pharmacy) which have been disinfected, being careful not to swallow the snipped piece of wire.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4>A wire that has popped out<\/h4><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cover the wire with orthodontic wax*.<\/span><\/li><li><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try to reposition the wire with your fingers or a pair of eyebrow tweezers.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut off the section of wire that has popped out, as close as possible to the bracket.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Orthodontic wax is sold in pharmacies in the dental products section.<\/span><\/p><h4>Bracket that is unglued<\/h4><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep the bracket safe and bring it with you to your appointment.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4>Loose hook used to attach a rubber band<\/h4><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stop wearing all rubber bands<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4>Broken and\/or dismantled elastic chains (elastics threaded onto each bracket to connect the teeth together)<\/h4><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut off or remove any excessively long segments that could get in your way.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 id=\"elementor-tab-title-1374\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">clear aligner<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, continue treatment with the next aligner (or the previous one if it is the last) and book an appointment.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have lost an attachment or cleat, continue wearing your aligner and call us to book an appointment.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have lost a button (used to attach a rubber band), stop wearing all rubber bands and contact Dr. Tram-Anh
